When Darkness Falls...

[Gabriel Lux]

Gabriel nodded as his scanners told him something before his eyes.
His goal was reached. His plan was now in motion. He then proceed to pull out his digivice and push some buttons in response he disappeared in a field of data.

Hiroshi's head turned to see Gabriel vanish from their sight. He quickly turned back to the fight to see Sorcerymon get knocked back and fall on his back on the park's pavement.

"Sorcerymon!" Hiroshi screamed.

"I'm okay," the Digimon muttered.

"Are you still functional?" Hiroshi asked. Sorcerymon nodded. "Try to find him."

Sorcerymon vanished in a blue light.

Gabriel was in the Digital World in a restricted dark area, otherwise known as the Seven Great Demon Lords Domain. It was normally restricted from others. But Gabriel some how managed to get there with no problem.

As he walked through the chamer hall of this large castle-like enviroment he found himself heading towards the thorn chair in the middle of it all. When he sat down none of the other digimon passing by seemed to object.

Sorcerymon appeared in front of a huge castle that he knew Gabriel went into. He tried to advance towards the doors, but was stopped by a larger-than-normal Devimon.

"Only the great Demon Lords may enter here," he said.

Sorcerymon smiled. "Not a problem," the wizard said. He vanished in his blue light on his way back to Hiroshi.

When he appeared back at his master, Hiroshi was looking very worried.

"What's wrong, Master?" Sorcerymon asked.

"Lilithmon is too strong," he said. "Why are you back? Where's Gabriel?"

"At the Demon Lords' castle. I need to ... evolve ... to get in," Sorcerymon explained.

Hiroshi shook his head. "No," he said. "There's no way I'm letting you. Besides, ClavisAngemon would have to degenerate."

Sorcerymon gave him a look. ...... "Fine," Hiroshi said.

ClavisAngemon returned to Angemon. "DigiSoul Charge - Overdrive!" Hiroshi screamed.

"Sorcerymon, Shinka!" he announced. He first became Phantomon, and then from there turned into Barbamon. Barbamon vanished quickly.

"Be careful," Hiroshi muttered.

Barbamon returned to the castle. As he was no longer his real self, Barbamon easily knocked Devimon over and burst through the castle, on his search for Gabriel.

He heard the doors burst open and someone storming through.
"Who is that!?!",Lucemon yelled standing up out of his chair in the middle of the Chamber Hall.

She handed him the digi-egg after Impmon helped here out of the fallen tree.
"Thank you so much. I hope this can help you.",She said smiling and bowing.
She too then disappeared into a fog of data but when she did the digimon Lilithmon changed its appearance to show a MarineDevimon instead.

When she reached her destination she noticed someone had already figured something out. Seeing the fallen guards and the doors wide open. She carefully walked in over the bodies and snuck around corner after corner looking around.

Impmon held the digiegg in his hands, staring at in confusion. Kataki ran towards him and looked up at MarineDevimon. She pulled out her D-Arc as well as a digivolution card.
"Let's beat him once and for all!" She said, then swiped the card as she cried, "Digi-Modify! Digivolution activate!"

The digiegg in Impmon's hands began to glow, and a bright light errupted from it and surrounded Impmon. He floated up in the air, the light around him becoming a bright purple color.
"Impmon Warp-Digivolve to..."
The purple light dissapeared into the air, and a tall humanoid digimon landed on the ground, his large black wings spread wide.
"Beelzemon!"

"Impmon... you digivolved!" Kataki exclaimed, a look of wonder on her face as she stared up at the Demon Lord.
Beelzemon smirked and nodded, then lifted the large gun that was attached to his arm and aimed it at MarineDevimon.
"Alright, you over-sized squid! You're about t' get it!" The gun's front seemed to open up like a mouth, and a large powerful beam began to charge inside it. "Corona Blaster!!" Beelzemon yelled as the beam exploded from the gun, and hit MarineDevimon full force.
The sea beast digimon screamed as it was deleted into data. Beelzemon then absorbed MarineDevimon's data.

((I'm just improvising. I don't really know how these type of Digieggs work. XD;; ))

"It is I, Barbamon, a fellow Demon Lord," Barbamon snarled. He turned to see Michelle enter behind him. "What I want to know is why these humans have infiltrated our castle."

"Uh..." Hiroshi stuttered, not knowing why Lilithmon would have changed into a MarineDevimon. He turned to Angemon for an explanation.

"I don't know, either," the angel said.

[Gabriel Lux]

"You don't need that kind of information just yet Barbamon. Seeing as how you are a partner digimon.",Lucemon said with a distasteful smile.

"Ahhh, welcome back. Did he take the egg and use it as planned?",He asked the girl following behind Barbamon.

"Oooohh! No no no!"

Sitting in front of a television in an apartment was a grimacing Goblimon, swinging his fists wildly in frustration.

"Don't just sit there, ya stupid Impmon!" He continued to bellow at the screen. "That Demon Lady'll tear ya limb from limb if you don't--"

"VINCENT!"

Cringing at the sound of his name being said so harshly, Vincent meekly reached over and turned the tv off, just missing a brilliant flash as Beelzemon appeared on the screen.

"B-but it's LIVE," he protested. "Just a few hours away from here. You know I get the jumpies when I could just run over and help."

"Yes," replied the red-haired teenage girl who had just marched into the room, "but the glitch that's going on over there could potentially reach us. Now, I've already gotten everyone to evacuate to the basement, so we're going to stand lookout on the roof. I have a radio so we'll know what's happening, okay?"

"Chocolate cake afterwards?" Vincent eagerly questioned, jumping to his green bare feet. "Please, Kattie?"

The girl, Kattie, grinned. "Sounds good to me. Now let's go."

"Ha," Barbamon scoffed in a laughing tone. "Me, a partnered Digimon? Only in my lower forms as Tapirmon and Sorcerymon do I obey to that wretch of a human. Do you really think that a Demon Lord would respond to a human who still has emotion inside of him? Of course not! I am the Demon Lord of Greed - I take what I want - right now," his voice at this point grew to that which seemed to shake the castle, "IS INFORMATION!"

Angemon returned to Hiroshi's side.

"What now, Hiroshi-kun?" Angemon asked him.

"I don't know," the human replied as the enemy was now defeated. "It seems a little anti-climatic...don't you think?"

[Impy~]

"We did it... We actually defeated him!" Kataki exclaimed, staring up at the bright sky peeking out from the fading digital field. She turned around, not spotting Beelzemon.
A little cough interupted her and Kataki looked down by her feet.
Beelzemon had dedigivolved back to Impmon and he looked up at her with a little smirk.

"Why did you change back?" Kataki asked, bending down to look at him.
"Well uh, I was wonderin'..." Impmon stuttered, his tail twitching. "C-could you... carry me? Please?" He asked, shutting his eyes in embarrasment. Kataki blinked and then smiled. She reached out and scooped her digimon up and held him in her arms.
"Should we head home?" Impmon asked, looking up at his tamer.
"No. We should stay here incase something else happens." Kataki replied, shaking her head.

"Ok..." Impmon said, then rested his head on Kataki's shoulder.

She walked into the room and bent down on one knee as her appearance changed from the young girl to Lilithmon then she stood back up.
"Yep. He fell for it. The egg should be ensuring that we have full control of Beelzemon the demon lord of gluttony as we speak.",Lilithmon said with a smirk on her face as she walked forward past Barbamon.

Meanwhile Michelle was at the bottom of this castle along with Gabriel locked up in a dungeon far away from there digimon or any other sign of life besides themselfs.
She was hung up by her arms and chained to the ground. Her mouth was dry and she was tired for how long she had been down there. It seemed long a week now but she was unsure. Gabriel had just gotten there that day but already looking as bad as herself.

Standing on the roof, Vincent, who had digivolved into Ogremon, was firing shadowy blasts from his fist, Pummel-Whacking the swarm of DemiDevimon that had appeared out of nowhere. But every time one disintegrated from the blast, two more swooped in to take its place. The air was filled with mocking laughter and flying pink syringes.

"Slash me something!" Vincent barked to Kattie, who was frantically searching through a box of cards.

"I know!" She half-sobbed. "I'm trying to find it, hold on!"

Vincent sighed while fending off several of the little devils with his bone club. I know she doesn't mean it, but she really is a hypocrite, he thought. She should have her cards ready ahead of time. She shouldn't even be outside with me!

There was a terrified yelp from behind, which, for that moment, caused Vincent to immediately forgive her incompetence. He grabbed Kattie in a running tackle and leaped away from deadly Devi-darts.

"Thanks, Vin," Kattie gasped when they landed on the neighboring skyscraper, calling him by his nickname which meant she wasn't being sarcastic about it. Suddenly, her eyes widened, and she grabbed a random card and slashed it through her D-Power.

There was a flash of light, and a brown shell suddenly covered Vincent's back just before another shower of syringes hit him. They struck the shell instead and bounced off harmlessly.

Sighing with relief, "Are you okay?" she asked Vincent.

"Fine," he grunted, spinning around and smashing a few more DemiDevimon. The shell vanished. "But you should hurry up and find a good card."

Kattie jerked with realization, "Right! Uhh...oh yeah!" She reached into her pocket and withdrew a card, but she hesitated before slashing it. "You're not going to like this one..."

"You're not going to like dying from a poison injection. I should know," Vincent growled roughly, still fending off the darts and devils. "Now slash it, already!"

She nodded. The ran it through the scanner. "Lalamon's Sing-A-Song, Activate!" she cried.

Vincent stopped dead. "What did you say?!" he squeaked, then coughed. His voice was high pitched as if he had inhaled a canister of helium.

Kattie looked like she had just eaten a lemon. "Better sing something before the effect wears off." She said in a so-close-to-bursting-out-laughing-voice.

Groaning a groan that sounded like a dying puppy, Vincent decided to face the music, so to speak, and burst into the only song he knew.

"Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
Well just pass him there
Why should we even care?"

A rainbow-colored wave washed over the area, and one by one, the DemiDevimon dropped out of the sky like black hailstones.

"He was turned to steel
In the great magnetic field
Where he traveled time
For the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
That he will soon unfold

Now the time is here
For iron man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once--"

At this point, Vincent's voice suddenly returned to normal, so the word "Saved!" sounded like it was bellowed by a drunk lion compared to the rest of the song. There was a following silence, interrupted a few seconds later by Kattie's tear-filled laughter that had been denied before.

"Sorry," she giggled. "I just can't believe that song actually worked! N-nice job, Vincent," she added.

A bit red in the face, he heaved his bone club on to his shoulder and grunted, "Well, thanks, I guess. I guess I'll be smashing those sleeping monsters before they wake up. I'll take you back the your place."

He picked her up and leaped back down to the other building and set her down before jumping to the ground.

"Good luck, Vin!" Kattie called after him.

Kataki turned her head, noticing that noone else was there with them. "Hey... where'd everyone go?" She muttered, looking worried.
She didn't notice Impmon twitching in her arms. "K-k-kataki..." The little digimon whispered, shutting his eyes tightly. His tamer gasped and looked down at him. "Impmon, is something wrong?"
Impmon growled in pain, then releashed himself from Kataki's grasp and collapsed to the floor. He dug his glove-covered claws into the pavement as he gritted his teeth.
"I-impmon! What's wrong?!" Kataki cried out to him, kneeling down by his side and placing one hand on his shoulder to calm him down. Impmon trembled and made sounds to show that he was clearly in pain. But there weren't any wounds...
He then cried out, "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" quite loudly --causing Kataki to scream and back away-- and he grabbed his head with his hands.
"Impmon! Please, just tell me what's wrong!" Kataki cried, keeping her distance from him, incase he decided to attack her. The girl looked up, spotting thousands of DemiDevimon out from the corner of her eye, watching them fly through the night sky.
...What's going on?! She thought to herself.
