Waiting Room

This is the "chill" place of the Card Battle Arena, where you can talk with your fellow tamers and find an opponent!

Gabriel walks in and sits down off to the side waiting for Hiroshi to show up so he can challenge him to a card battle.

Standing before the entrance to the Colosseum, both Kattie and Vincent were having thoughts opposite of one another.

"We shouldn't do this," Kattie stated bluntly. "You're not ready yet."

Vincent, a stocky green-skinned humanoid with a wooden club over one shoulder, whimpered. "Make it two cookies after each match that I don't kill someone, okay? And promise no more cookies ever again if I go berserk even for a second. You can trust me."

Kattie shook her head. "It's not that. I'm afraid you might not be strong enough to take on the opposing monsters."

"Aw, that's what you're afraid of?" grumbled Vincent. "First I'm too strong, now I'm too weak! What am I supposed to do?"

Sighing, Kattie replied, "There's nothing wrong with you. You've been doing wonderfully. But it won't matter. Some of these guys can beat Ultimates without even trying. You've only just mastered champion."

The Goblimon stuck his bottom lip out in a pout. "But what harm could it do to try? I won't get killed, these are no-kill matches. Besides, how will I get better if I don't fight the strong?"

"I just wanted to warn you," Kattie finished. She started inside, and as she shifted her position, the lid on the pastry can she was carrying slipped off slightly. A warm, beautiful fragrance entered Vincent's nostrils.

"J-just one cookie right now," he pleaded, hopping up to Kattie's side and gazing at her with the squintiest of puppy eyes, "before they get any less fresh."

The Tamer complied with an adoring smile, and dropped a warm, chocolate chip cookie into the open green hands. Vincent inhaled the sweet aroma before nibbling bits off and savoring each swallow.

As they entered, the well-air-conditioned waiting room, Vincent suddenly swallowed the delicious cookie whole.

Kattie was so shocked she almost choked, until she noticed that he was hopping up to a boy sitting off to the side.

"Hey you!" he called, stopping five feet in front of him. A good thing too, since wet crumbs were spraying from his mouth as he spoke. "You're a tamer, I assume. My Tamer and I are ready for some rough 'n' tumble. You wanna be candidates?"

He looked up at the Goblimon with a look of disgust as he avioded the cookie spray.
"You do know where you are right?",Gabriel asked the green digimon.
Gabriel pointed to a sign hanging over the entrance that read 'Card Battling Arena'.
"I think you are looking for the Digimon Battling Arena. If thats so its still under construction. But as soon as its done I'll give you a battle if you like.",He said followed by two 'yeahs' in agreance from his digivice IC.

"Now see," Kattie exclaimed, coming up beside him. "You were so riled up about this new arena that you didn't bother to find out what kind of arena it was!" She turned she turned to Gabriel and inclined her head politely. "Our sorries for bothering you."

"That was so disappointing," Vincent moped as they left the the waiting room. "You know, you didn't bother looking at the info flyer either, Tamer."

"Hey, I wasted a bus fare, so don't make my day any worse."

They were both silent for a few moments, until Vincent asked, "Can we stop at DQ?"

With lips barely curling upwards, Kattie replied, "You really don't deserve it, but I'd hate to have gone all this way for nothing. Who knows..." she added mysteriously. "If we stick around long enough, a rogue Digimon might appear and you'll get to fight after all."

With that, the two laughed and exited this Topic for good.
