I was just wondering, but based off of strategy, if you were inserted into the Digital World, and given a Digivice, and told that with one Digivice you could be the tamer of three Digimon, and you could chose almost any digimon (The exception being Impmon because he doesn't have any confirmed digivolution line aside from Beelzemon and the Belphemon evolutionary line because that would be a little unfair)./ If you needed to save the world, which three Digimon would you choose and why? Remember, only confirmed digivolutionary lines.
I would have a hard choice between using:
Dracomon Dracomon Dorumon
I would chose this because of the two different dragon (go dragons) digimon Dracomon can turn into, Coremon Green and Coremon Blue, who in turn Digivolve into Groundramon and Wingdramon respectively. Also, Coremon Green is a Virus type, Coremon Blue is a Vaccine type and the normal evolution of Dorumon (From Dorumon to Dorugoramon) is Data, therefore having one of all three of the Types (This matters because I heard of a triangle of the types, vaccine beats virus, virus beats data, and data beats vaccine). Also, The groundramon and Wingdramon can DNA Digivolve into the most powerful dragon digimon. Also, all three of them are immensely powerful.
I'll say my other combination later.

Well, first off, Impmon does have a confirmed line, what people don't realize is that Japan gets a whole lot more Digimon than us. I'm a frequent player of the card game, and although they stopped making them over here (makes me angry), they have even more monsters as cards than have been in all other forms of Digimon media. The widely accepted Champion and Ultimate for Impmon are Boogeymon and Phelesmon, respectively.
It's really hard for me to choose...but I'll give it a shot anyway:
Agumon-Greymon-MetalGreymon-WarGreymon Gabumon-Garurumon-WereGarurumon-MetalGarurumon Kudamon-Reppamon-Kirinmon-Sleipmon
This is a really balanced team I think. WarGreymon focuses on attack, MetalGarurumon focuses on speed, and Sleipmon is defense. Not to mention OMNIMON!

No offense, but how much of this is based on cards and how much has been confirmed? Because they also have Agumon digivolving into Kimeramon with certain cards (I believe. Perhaps not Kimeramon, but something that seems wildly out there). I understand Digimon have varying evolutionary trees and lines, but were Boogeymon and Phelsemon made for Impmon because of the card game, or...I mean, I would LOVE to see all the Digimon in Japanese, but all I can go from is Wikipedia, because that's the only site I know.

Uh...Wikipedia is written by people just like you and me, they are just as ignorant as us. Anyway, that's just how Digimon work, each has a huge branching tree for evolutions. Anything in the card game is just as valid as anything in the show...
I can tell you a digivolution I do know of in the cards that would blow your mind (not really), Gabumon into Kabuterimon.

Yeah, I know that about Wikipedia, but I haven't found a full directory that's any more reliable.
And that's why I don't like to rely on the cards, Gabumon to Kabuterimon. Most evolutions make sense, Agumon to Greymon, Dobermon to Cerberusmon to Anubismon, Garurumon to Weregarurumon and Tentomon to Kabuterimon, but when you go to cards, they show different parts of evolutionary lines (Like Birdramon to Skullmeramon, and Gabumon to Kabuterimon), a wolf/reptile Vaccine digimon to an insectoid Virus Digimon, and it starts getting a little weird. I know it's digital code and programs, but even digital programs follow a set guideline and makes sense.
To me, relying on cards make little sense, which is why I still dislike using Impmon in the calculations.

Well, since I no longer feel like arguing this point, I'll conclude it with "Whatever."
But no Impmon is not fair to Impy!
BTW I'm pretty sure Gabu is data, and Kabuteri is vaccine.

Alright, I know what you mean by more monsters than they show in America. For example, I REALLY want to know more about this one. If it is indeed a real monster. Anyways, I checked it on Wikipedia, and although I know it is made by people like us. In any case, data to vaccine is still weird. And I understand for impy, I do. Impmon would be my first choice too.

I think the card is a virus, yellow means virus for my cards. It looks like...MetalSaberLeomon? ;D It's got to be a mega with those DP values.
Although it might be upsetting for Impy to hear this, but in the middle or so tamers episodes he upset me so I'm not a fan. Beelzemon is a meany!

I found it on photobucket (Go figure) and the title said Metaldinomon...I dunno, I can't read Japanese.
What did he do? I love the sarcastic wit that both he and Renamon have, tis why they are my favorite combination.

Uh...he decided killing Takato and the crew was a "cool" thing to do because he was able to evolve...what a nice guy.
But I do love the Renamon and Impmon dialogue.

Ahh yes that. Wasn't that a little later than the middle? Anyway, he was mad with power, wouldn't you be a bit tipsy too? Anyways, he was always jealous of the Tamers and their Digimon even though he'd never admit it, it's like the people who suddenly go into schools and kill whole rooms because they were picked on. Not that I'm defending him at all, at least he made it up later though when he tried to save Jerri.

But no Impmon is not fair to Impy! SO TRUE! Anyway, even though Impmon's a mean little punk, I'd still want him as a partner. He's kind of like a troublesome little brother. And besides, I'd look after him... But my step-dad would want him tied to a stake in the backyard. With a chain. O__o Isn't he just the nicest guy? ANYWAY, if Impmon wasn't available, I would get Gatomon, or Veemon. 'Cuz they're awesome! ^__^

I would probably go with aerial digimon (meaning digimon who can fly at their Rookie levels and upwards) for the strategical advantage it provides to be able to just "peace out" whenever you feel like it. Strategic retreat > fleeing anytime! Ranged attacks would also be prefered to give you the possibility to have the first and last blow in combat. So my set-up would probably consist of Biyomon, Hawkmon & Tentomon. Try Zerg/Numemon-rushing that!
