The year is 20XX, and authority figures have decided to cut off the Real World from the Digital World as an attempt to keep humans safe from Digital Monsters once and for all. There are major and obvious drawbacks, however, that are causing more harm than good. For one thing, Internets, mobile phones, wi-fi and all other forms of instant long-distance communication have been wiped out. And as if that wasn't enough, there's a strange, hostile force moving in from a previously unaccounted universe, and the humans are left unprepared and defenseless.
Meanwhile, in the Digital World, the Digimon are cut off from their friends and partners. They long to return, but first they have deal with the immediate problem of the aforementioned armies that are also invading the DW. Unfortunately, due to the lack of Digivices, once mighty and respected monsters are condemned to their less powerful forms, and they are losing quickly.
Power and virtue are no longer the issues in this battle. It must be won through cunning and stealth, finding ways to cripple the mysterious force and attack via guerrilla warfare. This time, you cannot fight alongside your life-long friend. You are disconnected.
RULES:
No spamming
No Godmoding
Each player can control up to two characters; one human, one monster. You can make two humans or two monsters. There may be exceptions. MAYBE.
Third person perspective
No one-liners unless having a conversation with another character.
If your human/monster has a partner, you must make a profile for that partner. (unless you want that partner to be dead when the story starts.)
New characters can only be created if you've killed or in any other way removed an old one.

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm still a little confused. There seems to be a bit of a contradiction, your description of the story leads me to believe there wouldn't be human partners ("This time, you cannot fight alongside your life-long friend. You are disconnected."), and yet there is a form for human characters. Could you clear that up for me, please?

Hmm, I guess I could join. But like Lupin, I'm a little confuzzled as well. I mean, we're gonna just rp the digimon mostly right? And what would the humans do back in the real world? ^^;;

Well, he said the human world is being invaded as well, they could ban together with their weapons and science and such, be overwhelmed, realize they needed the Digimon, and open up the portals again. Are radios also offline, since they use radio waves and not internet/ethernet lines/waves? Anyway, what season is this based upon, since they are all in alternate realities, or are we mixing them all together?
Anyway, I love the idea of Digimon doing a real fight and relying on themselves.

Okay, sorry I've been away for a really long time. (Camp) Draco has hit it right on the button.
Since the Digimon can't rapidly Digivolve without their Partners, (I mean, they can evolve naturally, but that takes longer and it's permanent) and the humans can't rely on their Digimon to protect them, there's no way you can just go to Super-Mega and call it a day. The portal between the worlds will most likely be opened at the end of the RP, probably just to give it a happy ending, but don't be waiting at the entrance to grab you monster friend and then beat the baddies. We may not have "HADOKEN!!!" super powers, but there are plenty of things we can do.
And I do accept preexisting characters, but please fill out the form anyhow. The purpose of the template is to confirm who precisely is playing.
MY CHARACTERS:
Name: Asher Madison
Age: 15
Gender: M
Appearance: A tall, solid looking guy with brown hair. Usually wears a gray sweatshirt and jeans.
Personality: Even though he looks tough, he really isn't. He'd rather baby-sit annoying children than be a "Bad Boy." However, he is often tempted and does cave in to peer pressure.
Back story: Asher was an ordinary kid in high school. That is, until the Force destroyed the school and took over his hometown of Bloomington, IN. He currently lives in the basement of his house with his family, and wishes to fight back but has no clue how.
Chosen Info: None
Name: Rakumon
Personal/Nickname: Fleeter
Gender: F
Appearance: A small, purple Raccoon with tiny feathered wings and a metal helmet.
Personality: Shy, but curious and occasionally reckless. She loves exploring but flees at the first sign of trouble. More than anything, she wants a human partner who can make her Digivolve so she won't be so scared all the time.
Back story: Fleeter lives a solitary, hermitish life on the fringes of Digital society. She makes a living by selling rare items and back massages. Currently unaffected by the Force.

Yay! You're back! ^^ Name: Kataki Katomo Age: 15 Gender: Female Apperance: A 4'9 girl with long brown hair that goes down below her shoulders. Wears purple rimmed glasses and a white and purple sweater and blue and grey pants. Wears brown snow boots. Personality: Kataki's somewhat shy, but she'll try to help her friends/ Digimon when they need it. She likes to play video games and draws pictures almost everyday. Kataki can be a bit stupid sometimes, say, when she doesn't know how to do something, or how to respond to a specific question. She loves her partner, Impmon, and always trys to look after him. Back story: Kataki wasn't sure what was going on when the Force invaded her part of the city. She still lives in her apartment, but rarely ever goes out since she's worried that someone from the Force would capture her. Ever since Impmon was separated from her in the Digital World, Kataki doesn't know what to do to stop the Force from taking over. Name: Impmon Personal/Nickname: Impy Gender: Male Appearance:  Personality: Being a dark digimon, Impy's a fiesty little troublemaker. He thinks he can beat anyone in his Rookie form, even a mega. He pretends he doesn't care about Kataki much, but deep down (and I mean deep down), he actually likes her. Alot. He likes to eat ramen, pastries, and pocky. He's a male. Back story: Before the Force attacked the city, Impmon lived with Kataki in her apartment. But now that he's back in the Digital World, he's upset that he's not with his tamer (and the fact that he can't raid the fridge...). Now he's determined to get back to the Human World in one piece. Alrighty, sorry for the long wait, but I'm still here. I will be creating two monsters, but I have yet to decide on my second one. I know it's unlikely, but I have to ask anyway, y'see I was thinking I could ask for a third character, that would come in later in the story, as an evil Digimon who was working with the Force to destroy and control the Digital world...or perhaps he could be an NPC or something... Name: Dorumon Personal/Nickname: Gender: Male Appearance:  (SO CUTE!!!!) Personality: Dorumon is a brave little Digimon, headstrong and stubborn, and yet clever. He will never give up, but he knows his limits. He is friendly, but has never really had any friends, and he doesn't really know why. He has justice in his heart and will fight for a worthy cause, from defending the innocent to delaying the opponent long enough for his friends to get away. Sometimes may seem depressed. Back story: Dorumon lead an uneventful life, wandering from here to there, not really wanting much from the world, that is until the Force attacked. He tried to escape the original attack, and like a few others was forced into and underground cavern. He doesn't really want to fight, but knows that he may need to, for they can't live down here forever. Chosen Info: Erm, none really.
