A Bit Of Change

((OOC: I was bored, so I decided to make a new RP during the time after the rp "When Darkness Falls" ^^;; Hope that's ok. Anyone can post here! ^^))

"Impmon~!" Kataki's voice called out to her digimon when she opened the door to her apartment floor. "Impy, I'm home!" She said cheerfully. She walked into the room and closed the door behind her.
Impmon, who was sitting at a table with some paper infront of him, turned his head to Kataki. "Hm. Back from the hair salon, eh?" He said as he hopped down from his chair and walked over to her.
"Yup!" Kataki said, twirling around, showing off her long brown hair, which now had purple streaks. She then crouched down and placed a finger lightly on Impmon's small black nose. "Now we match!" She said, smiling with her eyes closed happily. Impmon smirked at that. Kataki looked over at the table where Impmon had been sitting. "What have you been making?" She asked.
"Uhm... P-paper flowers..." Impmon mumbled, blushing.
Kataki laughed, patting her digimon on the head. Impmon grumbled, the fur on his head raising slightly on his head from his partner rubbing it. He suddenly began coughing, covering his mouth with a fist.
"Still have that cold, huh?" Kataki asked. Impmon nodded.
Ever since the Seven Demon Lords incident, Impmon had been feeling sick. It seemed to be just a small cold though, and Kataki hoped it would stay small.
Impmon's tamer picked him up in her arms and said, "D'you want some soup to make you feel better?"
The little digimon nodded, then his ears pricked up as he heard the doorbell ring. Kataki went over to the door, and opened it, with Impmon still in her arms.

(ooc: I guess we'll live in the same apartment complex for RP convenience lol)

"What did you say we're going again, Noro?" asked the small yellow dinosaur.

Noro sighed as he walked down the sidewalk of his hometown late at night. "For the last time, we're going to my house."

"But, Noro, I thought your house was in the Digital World, why are we in the real world?"

"Well before I came to the digital world I lived here, and it's not something I like remembering..." Noro said, saddened by his memories.

"Don't be sad, Noro," Gabumon said, trying to comfort him. "Before you know it we'll be back home, right?"

Noro crossed his arms, still upset by the thought of going back to his parent's apartment. "Yeah, as soon as I get what I need from my room I'm getting away from this place and never coming back."

"What is it you need to get, anyway?" asked Agumon.

"Nevermind that. It's just sentimental to me, okay?" Noro said with an annoyed tone. Noro ran up the stairs of his apartment building with the two lizards following him.

Kataki peeked her head out of her apartment door, and looked left and right. "Um... hello?" She didn't hear or see anything, and she narrowed her eyes in annoyance. "...Stupid pranksters."
Impmon smirked up at her, and jumped out of her arms and landed on the ground. Kataki bent down to look at him. "I'm gonna go and fix you some soup, ok?"
"Gotcha. I'll just stay out here for a bit." Impmon replied, tail twitching and he crossed his arms. "Okay!" Kataki said. "Just don't cause any trouble."

Noro stopped outside of his front door. "Guys, just in case my parents are here, you'd better stay here while I run in and grab what I need," he whispered to Gabumon and Agumon.

Noro ran inside and left the two digimon to wait for his return.

"Aw, I hate waiting around," Agumon said in an annoyed tone.

Gabumon thought for moment before replying, "I think it's nice to be able to rest like this, all those stairs make me tired. Besides, you can see everything from up here!" He looked around, looking down at the city below, and then down to the next apartment. When he saw a purple demon...thing, he quickly grabbed Agumon and found cover.

"Hey, what's the big idea pulling me down to the ground like that?" Agumon asked.

Gabumon put a finger to his mouth. "Sh. Look over there, it's a digimon."

Agumon peered over and saw the Impmon, standing with it's arms crossed, seeming unaware of their presence. "It looks like he's teeming with angst and yearns to rebel for being told not to," Agumon ranted.

Gabumon rolled his eyes and whispered, "What are you talking about?"

"Let's go talk to him!" Agumon said as he started to get up before being held back by Gabumon.

"No, Agumon, we need to wait for Noro. He could be an evil Digimon, he might want to destroy us," Gabumon said as he hoped Impmon didn't hear Agumon's loud voice.

Meanwhile, Noro was frantically searching through his room. Looking through drawers, boxes, and his closet. "Still nothing," Noro mumbled so that no one else could hear. "Oh, right, now I remember." Noro bent down and reached under his bed, pulling out a large tin. Opening it up, he looked down at what was inside, invoking lots of fond memories. After reminiscing for a few moments, he closed it back up and took it with him out the door.

(ooc: I still haven't decided what he came back to get, but I'll figure it out eventually )

Impmon's pointed ears pricked up, hearing a voice nearby. He turned his head to where the sound was coming from. Narrowing his eyes, the little demon digimon made his way over to Agumon and Gabumon's hiding place. "Hey! Are you two idiots spyin' on me?!"

Kataki was busy in the kitchen, making some ramen for her partner. She had already got the pot to a boil, and she was getting ready to pour the noodles in, unaware of what was happening outside.

Gabumon waved his hands "No, not at all! We don't want any trouble," Gabumon replied.

Agumon took a step towards Impmon and said, "Are you an evil Digimon? 'Cuz if you are, I'll fight you!"

Noro came out the front door to see the three digimon. "Oh boy, what's going on here? Agumon, chill out," Noro said as he pulled Agumon back away from the Impmon. Gabumon backed up to be behind Noro as well. Noro crouched to be eye level with Impmon. "Do you have a tamer?" he asked politely.

[Impy~]

"Yeah, I have a tamer..." Impmon replied, narrowing an eye and crossing his arms as he looked at Noro. He paused to scatch his little black nose, then continued narrowing his eyes at him. "...Why d'you care?"

Kataki opened the door slightly and peeked outside. "Impy~, your ramen's almost ready~!"

Noro saw the girl who opened the door. He folded his arms as well, annoyed by the rude little Digimon. "So, you're Impmon's tamer, then? I hope your existence here in the real world is a peaceful one. Still I'm surprised you'd rather not be in the Digital World."

"Oh, um... yes, I suppose. There's still evil digimon we need to fight, but other than that, it's pretty peaceful." Kataki replied, smiling. She then blinked and arched an eyebrow. "Um. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I work for Night Crow and I wanted to make sure that you weren't a renegade tamer, up to no good. I can see that you're not so I'll be on my way," Noro said indifferently as he turned and walked down the stairs. "Gabumon? Agumon?"

Gabumon scratched his head in confusion. Agumon waved and smiled, "Bye!" before they both ran down the stairs after Noro.

When they all reached the ground level, they continued to the sidewalk. Gabumon was still confused. "Now why were we here again?" he asked.

Noro held out the tin. "This," he said quietly.

Agumon's eyes got wide. "Hey, what's in the tin? I bet it's food..." he said, mouth watering.

Noro held the tin away from him. "Hey, don't try to eat this! It's just a tin full of my old stuff, most importantly my cell phone."

"Huh? What's that and why's it important?"

Noro respond for a while, because although the items in the box brought back to his recollection fond memories, he remembered upsetting things as well.

"Is something wrong, Noro?" Gabumon asked.

"The assignment I've been given...it's because I have to stop someone I used to know. One of the people I used to be in a band with has been reported causing trouble in the Digital World. They say he fled from the Digital World, so I have to find him as well as any others like him...I still have his number on my cell phone, and I thought maybe I could just talk to him first," Noro replied.

"Oh," Gabumon said sympathetically. "So, do you think he will listen to reason?"

"I hope so," Noro said, turning his phone on and selecting the name on the list of contacts. Listening to the phone ring, he waited anxiously for his old friend to pick up...

"Yeah that's right, you'd better run ya cowards!" Impmon yelled from atop the apartment railing, shaking a clenched fist.
Kataki narrowed her eyes at him, placing her hands on her hips. "Impmon, please! They probably had something they had to do. Now come inside, your ramen's getting cold." She said as she walked back inside her apartment. Impmon rolled his eyes and followed her inside.

Impmon sat himself down at the table in the kitchen, and began eating his food which was placed infront of him. His tail wagged happily. Kataki was seated next to him, resting her cheek in her hand. "...I wonder why that boy asked me that question. Maybe he's-- no, that's stupid. Why would anyone want to live in the Digital World? I know it's pretty, but...
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by her D-Arc, which began beeping. A Digimon had biomerged close to where they were.
Impmon stopped eating, and he turned his head to the window, a little bit of broth dripping from his mouth. "Aw man... Another digimon causin' trouble."
"Like you're one to talk." Kataki said, grinning playfully at him as she got up form the table. "C'mon kid, lets go get 'em!" Impmon said, jumping up.
Kataki looked at Impmon, a small look of worry on her face.
Impmon's determined grin ceased and he lowered his clenched hand. "Hey, wh-what's a matter?"
Kataki crouched down and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I don't want to you to fight it."
"Wha?! Are you pullin' my tail? I can digivolve! I'll beat him without getting so much as a scratch!"
"But, I don't want you to digivolve, Impy! I know you'll be able to defeat an enemy easier when you're Beelzemon, but the thing is..."
Kataki lowered her eyes, and Impmon thought he saw the faintest shiver run through her.
"...I don't want you to hurt me like last time." She mumbled.

Impmon lowered his eyes and he opened his mouth to say something. He stopped, gulping. He then sighed and walked over to where some of his hand-made tissue paper flowers were, and he picked one up and brought it over to his tamer. Impmon looked at it, then lifted it up to give to Kataki.
Impmon's tamer lifted her head and saw Impmon's sad face, and then the paper flower he had in his gloved hands. Kataki then smiled and took the flower from him and clutched it close to her.
Impmon blinked, then slowly flashed a grin and patted his tamer on the shoulder. "Don't worry, kid. We'll let someone else take care of it!"

Noro became slightly agitated when the phone stopped ringing.

"Hello?" said a boy's voice on the other end of the line.

"Hey. It's Noro," he answered reluctantly.

"Noro? But I haven't seen you in two years? Where have you been?"

"Nevermind that," Noro said spitefully. "I'd like to talk with you someplace. How about we meet in the park?"

"Uh, sure, I'd don't have anything else to do. I'll meet you there in a few minutes."

Noro closed the phone and put it in his pocket.

Gabumon noticed Noro's expression. "Why are you so upset with one of your friends?" he asked him.

Noro shook his head. "Let's just go," Noro said, walking away fast and not letting Agumon or Gabumon see his face.

"What's wrong with him?" Agumon asked Gabumon.

"I'm sure we will find out later. Just give him some time," Gabumon replied.

Noro and co. arrived in the park and sat waiting on a bench. Not much later, a figure appeared in the distance. When he approached, Noro recognized it as his old friend, uh...Charles.

His face showed surprise. "Noro, I can't believe it's you. Where have you been for two years?"

"What does it matter to you?" Noro asked angrily.

"Well, I was just wondering..." Charles said, but he was cut off.

"I know what you're doing," Noro told him.

Charles peered over at the two lizards. "Hey, those are..."

"That's right. Digimon. And I know you have one, too. I've been sent here to take it away from you if you don't stop doing what you've been doing. I can't allow you to cause havok in the Digital World."

"Noro...I...Why are you doing this? I thought we were friends," Charles said, confused.

"Yes, so did I, once."

"Fine. Let's fight then," Charles said as he held out his digivice, making his digimon appear.

[Impy~]

"Well, I guess we don't have to fight, but lets at least go and check it out." Kataki said as she made her way out the door.
Impmon pumped a fist in the air, mouthing the word 'yes' and he followed his tamer out the door.

They soon reached the park, since that was where Kataki's D-Arc was telling them to go. They didin't see any digimon.
"Maybe it's broken?" Kataki said, looking at her digivice in confusion.
"No it's not." Impmon said, looking around. His ears pricked up.
"I sence a digimon nearby..." The virus digimon sniffed, then turned his head to two humans standing in the middle of the park. Impmon spotted two digimon next to one of the humans. He growled, making Kataki turn her head. "Huh?" She then spotted them as well. "Oh, it's just Agumon and Gabumon, Impy." She said, smiling.
Impmon growled and shook his head. "No! It's something else!"
Kataki's digivice was reacting stronger now, and it seemed to be pointing at the other boy's digivice. "Huh? What the-- Waah!" Impmon had pulled his tamer down behind a bush. The digimon's head was poking out, glaring at the two digimon and the two humans. "Impmon, what're you doing?" Kataki whispered, lifting her head up to see beyond the wall of the bush.
Impmon put a finger to his mouth and shushed his tamer, and the two of them stared at Charles's digivice, seeing a digimon appear from it...

((Dun dun dun....))

A tall, dark, humanoid dragon materialized in the air in front of Charles.

Charles commanded his Digimon, "Get them now, Cyberdramon!"

Noro was not very surprised at the Ultimate level dragon. "I figured as much. You just don't have what it takes to control a Digimon of his power, do you?" Noro asked rhetorically. "You know what we must do, Agumon, Gabumon."

Without hesitation the two rookies got between Noro and the ferocious Cyberdramon. The Cyberdramon was growling and trembling, as if he could barely contain his rage.

Noro proceeded to digivolve Agumon and Gabumon, as he knew two rookies had no chance at all against an Ultimate.

"Agumon digivolve to...Greymon!"

"Gabumon digivolve to...Garurumon!"

The large orange dinosaur and the mithril coated wolf stood adamantly ready for battle. The Cyberdramon, whose anxiety to fight was overwhelming, went in for the first blow. "Desolation Claw!" he said, sending Greymon flying like a plastic bag in a gust. Greymon landed with a deafening thud some 50 yards away.

"d**n it, he's strong," Noro muttered, too low for Charles to hear. He didn't want to give him the satisfaction.

Garurumon rushed in during the time Cyberdramon was attacking. He leapt at him and latched onto his arm with powerful jaws. Cyberdramon tried shaking him off, but the wolf managed to stay on.

"Greymon, come on and get back in here, we need you!" Noro yelled back to his partner. It was of little use, though, as Greymon took a very harsh blow. He wasn't in a position to continue fighting.

[Impy~]

The two friends gasped as they saw what had come out of the digivice. "I-Impmon? What is that?" Kataki asked.
"Cyberdramon. He's an ultamite." Impmon explained, gritting his teeth. He then began climbing over the bush. "Let me at 'em!"
"No, Impmon!" Kataki said, pulling her digimon back down by his tail. Impmon yelped. "Aaah! What're ya doing?!"
